Gathering around God’s word

Welcome to St Nick’s!

Whoever you are, we really are looking forward to giving you a warm welcome.

God’s word is at the heart of all we do. We believe that as God’s word is carefully explained, God’s voice is clearly heard. We meet every Sunday from 10.30am.

10.30am | Refreshments.

11am | Contemporary style songs.
A Bible talk at the heart of the meeting.

12.15ish | Discuss the talk over coffee, followed by lunch if you’re able to stay.

All ages welcome

We love children and the sense of fun and energy that they bring to our church family. Everything we do is centred on the word of God and prayer because we long for each child to develop a love for Jesus that lasts a lifetime.

We seek to teach the Bible as faithfully, imaginatively and engagingly as we can, depending upon the Lord to do his work through his word.

We run a crèche, Sunday school and youth group in the rooms upstairs.

Please read our latest guidance for children’s work in light of Covid-19 here.

We take the safeguarding of our church family incredibly seriously and you can view all information about safeguarding at St Nick’s by clicking below.

Children’s & youth groups

Crèche

We have a number of babies and toddlers who are much loved by the rest of the church family, and a lot of fun!

Crèche involves lots of playing, but also always a Bible time with a story to learn big truths about God, Jesus and us, normally along with a related craft.

Sunday School

We have a great team ready to look after any primary school aged children.

The children go through series of Bible teaching, alongside games and crafts.

They start in the service and are then taken to their group.

Youth

Those in secondary school start in the service with the leaders. Afterwards, they head to the sofas to discuss how the passage applies to teenage life.

Many of our youth also choose to go along to a midweek Bible study and games evening at a trusted partner church nearby.
